Despite the complete disappearance of the snow down in the city there is plenty to be found high on the hills. I wanted to see just how much so I had a few hours running around, scoping out possible bivouac sites and trying out some new gear including some much needed warm gloves. Up at 600m things got interesting...

Sounds windy, might need a bit more than gloves to keep you warm.
Nielsen - thankfully my trusty Litespeed jacket kept the wind at bay.
White-out! unless you know your navigation..get the hell out of there, down to the tree line and get a brew on! or better still I think a nip of that 'Teachers' is in order!
Anonymous - ('Show yourself!') fear ye not, my escape route was well within reach and a wee nip was safely carried in the AL20. Have no fear, my bivvy trip will definitely be below the tree line!
Magic :o)
I may have to visit!
ptc* - if you're after guaranteed snow this winter then Norway is the place for you. If it's ideal waterproof clothing testing conditions you're after then feel free to visit the rest of the year!
Video tells it when a thousand word would be needed. Great stuff.
