A run around the backside of the city hills to recon the snow conditions in the mountains. It's still there, but it's in retreat. Some people are laying the last lines of the season on their skis and the kayakers are rubbing their calloused hands with glee at the thought of the taps being wide open in the very near future. The hills were awash with people enjoying the sunshine today. I tried out some new gear and used the steep climb up to blow the remnants of a cold out of my head. Winter caught us out at Easter but this time I think he's had enough. We can look forward to summer now.
It's all good in the hood.
